The bathing area at the Domaine Les Carrelets campsite

Because holidays also mean swimming, the Domaine Les Carrelets has the perfect place where you can cool off during your stay in the Gironde. Whether you want to swim, do some aquagym or just splash around and take advantage of the water slide, there's something for adults and children alike. Also, the Atlantic beaches are just 3km away.

A 500 m² outdoor pool and a covered pool

The Domaine Les Carrelets lighthouse guides visitors to the campsite's water park. Visible from the entrance, it stands at the centre of the outdoor swimming pool and solarium terrace. It's a great place for you to spend time during your holiday and you will have the choice between swimming, having fun on the water slide and sunbathing.

If clouds cover the sky of the Gironde, make your way to the 200 m² covered pool and take a dip in the heated water. Swim some lengths or take advantage of the sports activities available there.

A leisure and relaxation area for all the family

Swimming is great, but water games and sports are good too. While the little ones splash around and have fun in the mushroom paddling pool, work up a sweat at one of the aquagym sessions with the campsite teams in the covered swimming pool. Water polo matches are also organised to test your team spirit!

But, of course, you don't have to work hard to deserve your rest - it is a holiday after all! So, take time to relax on a bubble massage bench or settle down on a deckchair and soak up the sunshine of Soulac.

And the beach just a few kilometres away

As you'd expect, since the campsite is located in Soulac-sur-Mer this means that the ocean isn't far away. The nearest beaches can be reached in less than 15 minutes by bike or by car:

    • For athletic swimming and surfing, head to Amélie Beach, 3.5 km away, a wild beach with some truly great waves.
    • Just 5 km away, the central beach in Soulac is ideal if you want to laze about. You'll have everything at your fingertips: ice creams, shops if you want to pick up some bargains or discover the local produce... And, all this with a breathtaking view of the Cordouan lighthouse.
    • Finally, Les Arros Beach is 5.6 km away and offers a calm and safe swimming area protected by seawalls. This natural swimming pool is warmed by the Gironde sunshine and will ensure you an extremely pleasant temperature. Those who feel the cold and young children will be able to enjoy a swim without any problem.

Take advantage of these large stretches of fine sand to lay down your towel, set up your parasol, apply your sun cream, and throw yourself in the water! Swimming and surfing await you.

Last but not least, the Médoc coast can be explored from all angles. Make your way to Verdon-sur-Mer to admire the Gironde estuary or take a boat trip across it and visit Royan.
